PROGRAM —
semi-professional tucheze program
The TUCHEZE program is an intensive training designed to create a collective of semi-professional dancers specializing in Afro-urban dance styles. Over 18 weeks, participants will explore various Afro dance styles such as Ndombolo, Coupé Décalé, Azonto, Dancehall, and Afrohouse, while deepening their cultural roots and artistic expression.

The program includes over 100 hours of in-person classes, workshops, and rehearsals.
DURATION
January 23rd, 2025 to May 31st, 2025 (18 weeks)
REHEARSAL SCHEDULE
Thursdays from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM
Sundays from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM
Attendance required in the weekly style class (blocks 1 & 2)

PREREQUISITES
Dancers should ideally have prior experience in Afro-urban dance such as Dancehall, Afrohouse, or Ndombolo or urban styles like hip-hop, house, or freestyle.
