The MBOKA Experience: Dance, Sharing, Celebration
Dancers, Afro-lovers, culture enthusiasts — you don’t want to miss this.This summer, from July 24 to 27, we’re bringing you an Afro-urban dance camp in Montréal.
MBOKA is four days of total immersion in Afro-urban culture, led by five world-renowned artists: Melo Omat (Congo/Ivory Coast), Rabba (Congo/Angola), Bastos (Congo), Ordinateur (Ivory Coast) and Joel Tenda (Congo). You’ll enjoy over twenty hours of workshops, freestyle sessions, battles, jam sessions, inspiring panels and evening events—combining technical training, cultural exchange and collective celebration.
From Ndombolo to Coupé-Décalé, through Freestyle and many other styles, MBOKA is more than a dance camp—it’s an experience that will make you come alive. You’ll push your limits, forge strong community bonds and leave with renewed energy and confidence.
